Project REFFRACTEUR opens 15 PhD Positions

REFFRACTEUR (Digital REFractory FRAmework for a Carbon-neutral and Resilient indusTry in EURope) has opened 15 doctoral positions, with the objective of building a new generation of experts capable of designing advanced materials, deploying digital tools, and driving innovation across steel, cement, glass, and other energy‑intensive sectors.

The 36-month, full-time researcher positions aim at digitalizing the Refractory value-chain, from design to recycling, and accelerating the decarbonisation of Europe’s high-temperature industries.

The Project offers a network of 10 academic entities, 11 industrial partners, and 5 non-profit organizations across the EU.
